Christmas Present Ideas for Teenage Girls

7 December 2023  |  Admin

Christmas is around the corner, and finding the perfect gift for a teenage girl can sometimes feel like navigating a maze. An occasionally stroppy maze at that!

Here at Cheeky HQ, I'm Mum to a 15 year old and two 12 year old girls, so thought I'd share my list of what's hot and what's not in terms of Christmas present ideas.

With an abundance of choices and the brand awareness of today’s teens, the task can be daunting. What worked a couple of years ago is now definiteoly NOT an option.

Fear not! We've curated a list of the best Christmas Present Ideas for Teenage Girls:

Shop Reusable Make up pads

1. Beauty Products For Teens

Teenage girls often revel in experimenting with makeup and skincare. I remember myself trying to make fake tan at that age...you can imagine how that worked out!

Consider gifts like straighteners, curling tongs, makeup sets, skincare products, and makeup removers. My girls have both got long hair and loved the Revlon one step hairdryer and volumiser. I picked it up during Black Friday sales last Christmas but it's actually cheaper now at Justmylook!

Skin care is another great idea for teenage girls and getting them into skincare routines is a good idea to protect their skin as they grow.

Try to steer them away from Tiktok inspired purchases and instead look for products sold on Look Fantastic or CULT Beauty where you can read the reviews for yourself. Cerave products including their face wash are great for teen skin and sensitive skin. One of my daughters loves the spot zap patches which are brilliant for outbreaks on teenage skin, not matter what your skin type.

It's also worth keeping an eye in the middle aisle of your local supermarket! Aldi have a range of fantastic beauty and skincare dupes from Lacura which will be making their way into stockings at my house this year!

For eco-conscious options, Cheeky Pants offers fantastic reusable makeup remover kits that are gentle on the skin and the planet.  We have a range of makeup pads suitable for micellar water and toner or larger makeup pads which are perfect for soapy or oily cleansers.

2. Tech Accessories

Tech-savvy teens appreciate accessories for their gadgets. Phone cases that reflect their style or portable chargers for those constantly on the move are thoughtful choices.

I also picked up some multi charging cables this year (with different extensions for usb-c, lightning cable and kindle type charger) so they're never be able to moan about not having the right sort of charger again!

Shop Period Kits

3. Period Kits

Empower teenage girls with thoughtful period kits. Cheeky Pants offers an array of reusable period protection kits designed for teens. Give confident, leak free periods with our period pants for teens or children, a gift that keeps on giving month after month.

4. Arts & Crafts Products

Our youngest is creatively inclined so we've stocked up on art supplies such as sketchbooks, felt tips, paints and small canvases. Scissors and their own sellotape too so that she doesn't have to steal mine any more!

5. Fashion & Accessories

Clothing is a bit of a minefield for teens! I have stopped buying what I consider to be 'nice' as I discovered that they now have their own tastes which differ from mine.

Rather than waste my money, I ask for them for any clothing items specifically that they want and will choose a couple of items from their list. Happily, my girls love shopping pre-loved so their 'budget' goes a bit further!

In saying that however, utilitarian items like socks, pants and gloves are always welcome!

6. Books & Subscriptions

Engage their minds with captivating books or magazine subscriptions that cater to their interests, whether it's fantasy novels, graphic novels, or educational magazines.

7. Personalized Gifts

One of my 12 year olds was very keen on having a charm bracelet this year. Thankfully her granny and Auntie offered to club together to purchase it for her and the great thing about it is that we can add to the gift for future birthdays and Christmases.

8. Experiences

If you prefer to 'do' rather than buy, think about experiences like concert tickets, spa days, or cooking classes. An opportunity to crate fantastic memories together too!

Selecting Christmas gifts for teenage girls doesn't have to be overwhelming. With a little bit of thought and consideration, you can find the perfect gift that will bring a smile on their face this Christmas.
